Bill’s History

Born to humble beginnings, Bill was always up for an adventure and looking to learn more about himself and the world around him.

BIRTH

1951

Born in Middletown, New York to a school teacher and lab technician.

CHILDHOOD

1960-1970

Grew up in Webster Groves, Missouri, a town very similar to Wyoming.

COLLEGE YEARS

1970-1975

• Attended the University of Missouri at Rolla (now Missouri S&T).

   

• Earned a degree in Engineering Management with a minor in Mechanical Engineering.

   

• Won the heart of and married Ruth, the love of my life.

STARTED A FAMILY

1975 – 1980

• Joined Procter and Gamble at the Cape Girardeau, MO manufacturing plant.

    • Bought a little 3 acre farm (raised beef and a big garden).

      • Brought Becky and Jonathan into the world.

      MOVED TO WYOMING

      1981 – 1987

      • Switched to Research and Development with P&G. 

        • Moved to Wyoming and bought a house on Grove Ave. 

          • Remodeled an old house. 

            • Integrated into the community and fell in love with Wyoming.

              • Started volunteering as the youth group leader at PCW (5 years).

              MOVED TO JAPAN

              1987 – 1997

              • Moved to Kobe, Japan with P&G.

                • Built an R&D organization for process development.

                  • Raised our kids (Becky graduated from the international school).

                    • Ran another youth group (8 years).

                      • Started volunteering with Habitat for Humanity.

                        • Saw the world and developed our love of travel.

                        MOVED BACK HOME

                        1997 – 1999

                        • Moved back to Cincinnati with P&G.

                          • Returned to Grove Ave. and remodeled the house again!

                            • Volunteered with Valley Interfaith and Habitat for Humanity.

                              • Entered empty nest phase when Jon graduated with the Wyoming High class of ’99.

                              ON THE ROAD AGAIN

                              1999 – 2001

                              • Moved with P&G to Caracas, Venezuela.

                                • Shut down a process development organization!

                                  • Graduated a daughter from college and a son into real race cars.

                                    • Saw a new part of the world!

                                    END OF P&G ERA

                                    2001 – 2003

                                    • Retired from P&G

                                      • Worked as a technical consultant and assisted with my son’s auto racing career.

                                        • Technical consulting lead to a job in France!

                                        EUROPE!

                                        2003 – 2009

                                        • Moved to Evian, France with Roche Consumer Health.

                                          • Saw another part of the world!

                                          IT’S GOOD TO BE HOME

                                          2009 – TODAY

                                          • Grandbabies arriving and parents health failing.

                                            • Retired and moved back into the house on Grove.

                                              • Remodeled the house again!

                                                • Added lots of travel with the grandkids.

                                                  • Came back as youth group leader at PCW (15 more years)!

                                                    • Found lots of great volunteering opportunities, many focused on young people.
